Checkpoint Zero takes you to a place where flirting with the enemy becomes a dangerous pass time.

Set in modern day Israel/Palestine we meet Sivan, a young female Israeli soldier on checkpoint duty. She meets Hani, a Palestinian university student who must travel through the checkpoint to get to his classes. Both are trapped behind a 60-year-old wall that separates them and yet they are strangely dependent on each other.
Where will their relationship lead and what will they learn from each other? Is there hope for a long lasting friendship or will their differences and interests force them apart?

“Have you ever been involved in something that takes you over against your own good
judgement? Even though you know it’s dangerous you keep going as if that something has
got its own self-destructive momentum and you’re powerless to stop it…that’s how it was
with her, Sivan. We were at Checkpoint Zero, acting like we were somewhere else entirely”
