“Instantly engaging… resonant with a voice rarely encountered on the stage.”
Time Out, London
If the normality of life is war, what becomes of normal life?
In Spitting Distance reaches deep into the heart of our post 9/11 world.
In a virtuoso performance, Palestinian actor Khalifa Natour tells the story of an Arab traveller who tries to fly on the anniversary of September 11. Tragic, yet full of humour and hope, it is a story of ordinary lives made extraordinary by war.
Staged at Peter Brook’s Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, In Spitting Distance comes from Palestinian writer Taher Najib and leading Israeli director Ofira Henig.
Performed in Arabic with English surtitles.
Duration: 60 minutes
